EUROCARGO VALENCIA

* We have received reports that RO-RO cargo ship EUROCARGO VALENCIA (IMO:9192959) experienced an engine failure in a position approximately 97 nautical miles southwest of Methoni, Greece on 09 April 2024.

* It is reported that the crew were unable to effect repairs to the vessel. Consequently, the vessel has been taken under tow by tug towards a port of refuge in Italy for inspection and, possibly, repairs.

* It is possible that General Average/Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
